  • Description

     

    Produce piggy-back outserts in line with MV-11 Outsert Systems… 

    • The G&K–VIJUK GLUEPAC® is a modular outsert bundling system composed of a conveyor, two to four feeders, a gluing unit, and a vertical-stack delivery.

    • The conveyor belts are adjustable to the size of the product. 
    • Pictured is a system with 2 servo-driven GUK PA15 Folded-Leaflet Feeders, which are mounted perpendicularly to the conveyor to advance, rotate (90º), and feed outserts in the proper orientation for bundling.

    • The gluing unit has 3 glue guns, of which 1, 2 or 3 may be activated as required by the job.

    • Hot or cold, permanent or fugitive glue may be applied.

    • It will bundle 2 to 4 outserts, leaflets or items.

     

    Adaptable…

    • Depending on the components to be bundled, other feeding systems may be required in place of or along with PA15 Feeders. Such may be a PA30 Friction Feeder, which feeds very thin leaflets and difficult-to-handle products, or the Pick & Place System. (See Feeders) 

     

    Optional accessories for quality production…

    • Camera system for OCR/pattern matching and bar code reading at each feeding point to ensure proper composition of the sets.
    • Glue Verification System. 
    • Batch Counter with a fluorescent-ink marking device. (See Accessories)

  • Special Features

    Special Features

    Safe operation…

    • For safe operation, there are framed plexi-glass doors and covers throughout the system with interlocking safety switches. The system will not run if all doors or covers are not locked. If one opens, the system will shut down.

       

    • The only time the system will run with doors open is during setup up when the machine is running at the reduced setup speed.

       

     

     

    Controllers…

     

    MAIN CONTROL PANEL

    • This touchscreen panel controls the whole bundling system, monitoring all of its functions—the conveyor, feeders, gluing unit, and delivery unit.

       

    • It is used for setting up jobs—the composition of the bundles, the batch count and total number of bundles, and production speed.

       

    • Before startup, tabs for each of the functions are available for a production overview.

    hhs® CONTROL PANEL

    • This touchscreen panel controls the Gluing Unit—which glue guns to activate, glue dots or glue line, and the sequence of outserts on which to apply glue in order to form bundles.

     

     

     

     

     


    -REMOTE CONTOLLERS 

    • These controllers, mounted at the feeders and the delivery, allow limited operation of the system at locations away from the main control panel. 

       

    • Each has an emergency stop button.-

     

    Gluing and bundling unit…

    • The gluing unit has 3 guns (1), of which 1, 2, or 3 may be activated as required by the job.

       

    • It may apply hot or cold, permanent or fugitive glue.

       

    • The glue will be applied on the groupings of outserts as programmed.

       

    • It The groupings of outserts are compressed into bundles that are stacked vertically (2) on the delivery.   

  • Feeders

    PA15 Leaflet Feeder

    • The PA15 Feeder turns the leaflets 90º before feeding. Depending on your needs, the PA15 can be mounted perpendicularly or parallel to the conveyor. When mounted perpendicular to the conveyor on the G&K–Vijuk GluPac® it will turn the outsert or leaflet to the proper orientation for bundling. Parallel mounting to the production line may save floor space. 

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    • In the perpendicular mount, outserts are loaded on the continuous-load feeder (1), and turned 90º before they are fed onto the conveyor of the G&K–Vijuk GluPac® (2)

     

    PA30 Friction Feeder

    • The PA30 Friction Feeder feeds very thin leaflets and difficult-to-handle products.   
    • It is easily side-clamp mounted over the conveyor and can be used along with other feeders. At left, it is installed along with PA15 Feeders.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    • It is user friendly with front operation and easy access to the hopper, feed belts, friction rollers, and channel delivery belts.
    • It can also be installed in line with other machines like tabbers and packaging lines.

  • Accessories
