G&K–Vijuk Cartonac 91 Leaflet Folder

Save time and labor by installing this in-line folder onto your cartoning or packaging line to fold and feed small leaflets to be inserted directly into cartons along with the product.

    Description

    Over decades the Cartonac 91 has evolved into more than just a basic machine—and time and again, it has proven to optimize the production line. 

    • GUK in-line Cartonac Folders attach directly to your cartoning or packaging line's drive by toothed belt or chain at a 1:1 ratio, but can be driven at a 1:2 ratio for running longer sheets.
    • Packaging-line production speed is maintained with the continuous-load, bottom suction feeder.
    • Feeding is accurate and reliable on the anti-static stainless steel feeder table, aided by adjustable suction nozzles that can be positioned according to the sheet size.
    • A low-pile sensor on the feeder sends out an alert and if more stock is not loaded, it shuts off the machine—ensuring production of leaflets for insertion.
    • Folding is consistent and precise by urethane and steel folding rollers running on hardened ground helical gears with needle bearings in the folding mechanism.
    • Production is problem-free with maintenance-free axle and roller bearings, along with self-cleaning combination steel and rubber folding rollers.
    • Newly developed external control cams minimize machine noise.
    • Production speeds are up to 400 sheets/min. of sheet lengths up to 12-1/2” (320 mm). 

    Options:

    • Units are available with the hand wheel on the left or right side of the machine.
    • The Cartonac 91 can be equipped with either 4 or 6 folding plates in Station I.
    • Choice of format widths: standard 8-1/4” (210 mm) or 13-3/4” (350 mm).
    • Choice of feeder table lengths: standard 12-1/2” (320 mm) or 17-5/8" (450 mm), 22-5/8" (575 mm), 23-1/2" (600 mm), or 25-1/2" (650 mm).
    • The Cartonac 91 can be equipped for off-line operation. 
    • Cross-fold models available.

    • Barcode reader with or without ejection device can be installed.
    • Combination shafts for transport and scoring collars are available in order to add scoring to enhance the feeding of thick or difficult leaflets for easy insertion.
    • Extended feeder tables for processing longer sheets. Available lengths: 17-5/8" (450 mm), 22-5/8" (575 mm), 23-1/2" (600 mm), and 25-1/2" (650 mm).
    • All-around V2A stainless steel covers.
    • WOM transfer unit.

      • A reconditioning kit is available for complete restoration of your folder.

       

    Save by having your folding rollers factory reconditioned—metal areas re-knurled, gears and needle bearings replaced, and rubber replaced. You will not be able to see the difference!
