G&K–Vijuk CTM Coding/Serializing & Fold-Inspection Station
Prints unique code on each outsert for tracking and tracing
- The CTM prints a unique code or serial number on each outsert via thermal-inkjet printhead—industry standard 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional codes (i.e., Pharmacode, Datamatrix, or Quick Response codes).
- Setup is quick with the simple insertion of a cartridge containing the printhead and ink.
- Outserts are aligned for printing by a jogging device.
- Maximum code height is 12.7 mm and resolution is up to 600 dpi.
For advanced quality control.
- Integrated with the Coding and Serializing Station, a two-stage camera system makes dimensional measurements to verify the size and the accuracy of the folds.
- Outserts that do not meet specification are ejected.
- An additional camera verifies printed code and checks print quality for readability in tracking and tracing (i.e., clarity, contrast, alignment).
- Outserts are ejected if code is missing, misprinted, unreadable, or below defined quality specifications.
- For total quality control, add the Baumer hhs® Xcam System and Glue Verification System.
Print results are verified and logged
- All verification results, good and bad, are logged and stored for a record of valid and missing numbers in a series.

- This two-stage camera system without the ink-jet system is available as the G&K–VIJUK CM INSPECTION STATION.
Plug & Play…
- The station is plug & play, ready to be used in G&K–Vijuk MV-11 Outsert Systems, or can be used off line with the new GUK PA15 Folded-Leaflet Feeder.
- Setup is quick with the simple insertion of a cartridge containing the printhead and ink.
- Replacement cartridges eliminate messy ink refills or nozzle cleaning.
Precise printing of code or serial number…
- A jogging device (A) aligns the outserts for printing.
- For quality assurance, a camera (B) verifies that the code has been printed and checks the quality for readability in tracking and tracing (e.g.: clarity, contrast, alignment).
- An ejection device ejects the outsert if the code is missing, misprinted, unreadable, or below defined quality specifications.
