A - Features
R6 ROUND-PILE FEEDER,
An FL3 Flat-Pile Feeder or a Pallet Feeder can be specified, depending on your needs.
B - Features
L-4 TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLLER, for setting up sheet and fold sizes, production speed, batch and total counts, and parameters for double-sheet ejection system.

ELECTRONIC DOUBLE-SHEET DECTOR (1) on the feeder triggers the Double-Sheet Ejection Device on the FA73 Folder in which pneumatic mechanisms (2) activate the ejection gate (3) and double sheets are ejected before going into the folding rollers. Production continues uninterrupted.

ZWT73/4 TRANSFER UNIT (1)
with flat belts, top and bottom, improves the transfer of product from Station I to Station II—and makes setups and changeovers easier. A quick turn of the knobs (2) will accurately set the exit point of products onto the roller table. The roller table (3) which moves the products to Station II, is split to allow the carrier rollers to be laterally adjusted for easier, precise alignment of product going into Station II.
The hinge-style ZWT73/4 Transfer Unit can be maneuvered to allow access to the scoring shafts (4) which additionally can be rolled out for easy adjustment in the gear-driven FA73 Folder.

Gear-driven, wide-format GUK FA73 Folder:
- Folds lightweight pharmaceutical sheets up to 28-3/4" (73 cm) wide—providing up to 38% more copy space than sheets folded on GUK FA53 Folders.
- It is ideal for folding consumer information leaflets and med-guides and can be used as Station I in MV Outsert Systems.
- Setups and changeovers on the FA73 are quick and easy with caliper-set rollers and the new-style zero makeready plates with time-saving drop-in deflectors. Fold lengths are simply set by digital dials.
- When triggered by the double-sheet detection device on the feeder, pneumatic mechanisms on each side of the folder activate the ejection gate and double sheets are ejected before entering the folding rollers. Production continues uninterrupted.
Advanced Features:
The new hinge-style ZWT7 3/4 Transfer Unit streamlines the transfer of products from Station I to Station II and eases setup and changeovers.
Flat belts move products more effectively.
A quick turn of the knobs will adjust the exit point for placing product on the roller table.
The roller table which receives and moves products from the transfer unit to Station II, is split to allow the carrier rollers to be laterally adjusted, making it easier to align the product precisely.
The hinge-style ZWT73/4 can be maneuvered to allow access to the scoring shafts, and in the gear-driven FA73 Folder, the shafts can be rolled out for easy adjustment.
Versatility:
The FA73 is available with 12 or 16 plates.
The addition of a Station II (and III) to the FA73's wide width will give you the ability to produce many fold patterns, sizes, and shapes for med-guides, patient and consumer information leaflets.
The FA73 can be used as the primary folder for MV Outsert Systems.

R6 Round-Pile Feeder - Feeds sheets up to 56-5/8" (144 cm) in length.
- Top suction wheel (1) aided by air blasts from front and two sides (2), transfers sheets to the register table.
- The Electronic Double-Sheet Detector (3).
FL3 Flat-Pile Feeder
- Feeds sheets up to 40-7/8" (104 cm) in length.
- Its maximum pile height is 27-1/2" (70 cm).
- Rear suction heads (1) on the FL3 lift sheets with the aid of air blasts while the top-suction wheel (2), shielded by a safety cover, transfers them to the anti-static alignment table leading to Station II.
- The Electronic Double-Sheet Detector (3).
P6 Pallet feeder
- A pallet stacked with up to 47-1/4" (120 cm) of paper can be loaded directly onto the feeder, saving time and labor.
- A laser beam automatically positions the pallet for transferring sheets onto the stainless-steel alignment table by rear suction pickup and front drum suction wheel.
- It has ultrasonic double-sheet detection and ejection. When detected, the system goes into a fault mode which stops the transport of sheets and ejects the double sheets, while the downstream machine continues operation.
Setup and operation is through an L5 controller.

- The most heavy-duty and remarkable commercial knife folding unit on the market.
